Chainsaw Man Collection
Write a rating and a review for the full collection.
Officially, Chainsaw Man The Compilation is a two-part movie, and Crunchyroll’s announcement identifies Tatsuya Yoshihara as its director, while the 2022 TV series was directed by Ryū Nakayama. Reze Arc is officially described as continuing that story, and the official Chainsaw Man site later programmed Compilation Part 1, Compilation Part 2, and Reze Arc together as a single 5 hour 13 minute overnight screening route. Fan-documented discussion around the Compilation films also points to substantial revision work under Yoshihara rather: re-recorded or more energetic voice performances, dialogue changes noted as closer to manga wording, faster fight tempo and removal of some slow pauses, changed music choices, restoration of the Gun Devil casualty information, removal of some anime-original scene material, and added Chainsaw Days animation. Taken together, that makes the Compilation films a revised theatrical retelling that leads directly into director Tatsuya Yoshihara's Reze Arc.
